Ahmed Akhter Qazi
Chief Financial Officer
Currently the Chief Financial Officer at Brittania-U, Ahmed’s career found root at Schlumberger in Sedco Forex (A Schlumberger Drilling Company) in Oman as Manager Finance & Administration from 1993 – 1996, after which he proceeded to Indonesia as the Division Controller from 1996 to 1998. He then went on to hold several positions as Controller and Finance Manager for Schlumberger Aberdeen (UK), Libya, Algeria, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan before moving to Iran in 2005. Prior to joining Schlumberger, Qazi had spent eight years in A. F. Ferguson amp;Co Chartered Accountants (PricewaterhouseCoopers- Pakistan) from 1979 to 1986 and then joined Shell Pakistan Limited (formerly Pakistan Burma Shell) as Assistant Chief Accountant from 1986 to 1993.
He became the Group Finance Director of Nigeria & Gulf of Guinea countries for Schlumberger in June 2011, after spending six years in Iran & Kazakhstan as the Group Finance Controller, also serving as Financial Controller with Fortune 500 and high-tech companies.
Ahmed holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Karachi. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Taxation Management of Pakistan. He has also undertaken business administration courses from Institute of Business Administration, Karachi and an advanced financial program from the Wharton School of Business, Pennsylvania. In addition, he was an active member of various social clubs at College level and was an active member of PEG( Pakistan Executive Group-Saudi Arabia).
